Thai said Hungary has a significant position and role in Central and Eastern Europe and in 2018 became the first country in the region with whom Vietnam upgraded to a comprehensive partnership. Thai asked for support and cooperation from the diplomatic corps, and said Vietnam is ready to participate in activities within the framework of the diplomatic corps.

Banach said he will work closely with Mr. Thai and the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary to strengthen relations between Vietnam and Hungary, and between Vietnam and the Vatican.
