Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have the most proficient English speakers. Vietnam scored 53.43 points this year, lower than last year when it ranked 31st out of 72 countries.
The EF EPI 2017 ranking was based on data from more than one million adults who took the EF Standard English Test. The Netherlands topped the list, followed by Sweden and Denmark.
