In an article analyzing the results of the GII published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), CNN highlighted Vietnam’s impressive 44th ranking, reporting that the country is noted for its high standing in the rankings as well as for its achievements in high-tech exports and labor productivity growth.

According to CNN, Vietnam's GII ranking has steadily improved over the years thanks to its thriving startup ecosystem. The country is emerging as one of the most dynamic economies and as a development hub for startups in the Asia-Pacific region.

WIPO also recognized Vietnam as one of four nations that have integrated the GII framework into building Provincial Innovation Index (PII).
