Mr. Dung said that Vietnam is promoting three strategic breakthroughs – institutions, infrastructure, and human resources – to achieve double-digit growth. Vietnam has adopted a four-pillar strategy to catch up with the world, he said.

"They include boosting science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; making the private economy the key engine of the economy; improving law making and law enforcement; and strengthening international cooperation in adapting to global changes," Mr. Dung added.

The Deputy PM also highlighted Asia’s potential and strengths, the challenges it faces, and plans for the future.

He suggests five key areas where Asian countries should work together. "We should lead in renewing multilateral cooperation and supporting fair, win-win free trade; in developing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; in promoting inclusive development, with people at the heart of all policies; in building a new economic model, focusing on green transformation and digital transformation; and in strengthening unity, cooperation, respect for international law, and resolving disagreements through peaceful means."

The Deputy PM said this is the way Asian countries can achieve stronger growth in the new era.
