(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt and Libya Tran Thanh Cong has told VOV reporters that the Vietnamese Embassy is closely following the situation in Libya where war is escalating and many countries are evacuating their citizens.

The Embassy’s consular section for citizen protection reported that there are no known Vietnamese citizens in Libya. The department is stepping up communications with the Libyan Foreign Ministry in order to protect any Vietnamese citizen discovered to be in Libya.
