VNAT Deputy Head Nguyen Quoc Hung said: “Vietnam has attended many tourism fairs. Our promotion efforts have resulted in an impressive surge in the number of tourists visiting Vietnam – tripling from 2011 to 2013. We credit this achievement to our own efforts and to the support of media agencies and Vietnam’s representative offices abroad. We will strive to maintain this growth rate and welcome 1 million Russian tourists before 2020.”

Hung said this year Vietnamese tourism companies are focusing on advertising resorts, eco-tourism, medical tourism, and shopping tourism. They will provide festival goers a closer look at Vietnam’s cultural identity through cultural and art activities.
