(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Press Museum will officially open on Friday.

The museum, built under a project led by the Vietnam Journalists' Association, has collected over 20,000 artifacts and documents, including more than 700 rare artifacts and documents related to important events in the history of Vietnamese journalism.

The museum displays reflect Vietnam’s press in 5 periods: 1865 to 1925, 1925 to 1945, 1945 to 1954, 1954 to 1975, and 1975 until now.

“The great variety of artifacts is thanks to help from journalists, writers, and press agencies,” said Musem Director Tran Thi Kim Thoa.
