Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh are symbols of peace, independence, freedom in Hungary

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyen Thi Bich Thao laid flowers at President Ho Chi Minh Statue in Zalaegerszeg city to commemorate Vietnam’s 76th National Day (September 2) and Hungary’s State Foundation Day (August 20). The ceremony was attended by local leaders and Vietnamese people living there.

President Ho Chi Minh Statue was carved by acclaimed Hungarian sculptor Marton László and was inaugurated on the first anniversary of Vietnam’s Unification Day (April 30, 1976). It has been regarded as the symbol of the close friendship between the two countries.
