(VOVWORLD) - Capgemini’s Digital Transformation Institute estimates that in the next five years, smart factories may contribute as much as 500 billion USD in added value to the global economy.

Suttisak Wilanan, Deputy Managing Director of Reed Tradex company, said smart factories are a huge change for a developing country like Vietnam. He said he believes that Vietnamese businesses will successfully join the global network of localization to meet international consumers’ demands. Mr. Wilanan suggested Vietnamese businesses strongly invest in manufacturing technology so as not to miss opportunities following the trend of mass and chain production.
