JBS is a food processing corporation headquartered in Brazil, with representative offices in 24 countries and territories.

The Prime Minister expressed his hope that Brazilian businesses like JBS will continue to show interest in and expand their investment and business cooperation in the Vietnamese market. He said Vietnam is actively promoting trade with Brazil and aims to conclude negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) in the second half of this year.

On the same day, Prime Minister Chinh received Daniel Lopes, Vice President of the FS Company, and Jose Serrador Neto, Global Vice President for External Relations of the Embraer Group.

The Vietnamese leader expressed his hope that the FS Company will transfer technology and support Vietnamese enterprises in joining the global biofuel value chain, as well as help Vietnam obtain E10 gasoline at competitive prices. He said the Vietnamese Government is committed to creating favorable conditions for FS and other Brazilian investors to do business effectively and sustainably in Vietnam.

He noted that Vietnam is restructuring its aviation enterprises, including Bamboo Airways, which is cooperating with Embraer. The PM said he hopes Embraer will support Vietnam in opening a direct air route to Brazil. Vietnam’s Viettel Group—a diversified conglomerate with operations in South America—could also partner with Embraer to develop this ecosystem in a joint venture format. This would enable Embraer to penetrate the dynamic and fast-growing Southeast Asian market, he said.
