The General Secretary met with 80 delegates representing intellectuals, scientists, and artists nationwide to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2), in Hanoi on Wednesday. He said this is the core force, pioneering in science and technology, building and developing advanced Vietnamese culture and arts imbued with national identity.

General Secretary To Lam told delegates about Vietnam’s major orientations, saying “The Party Central Committee is actively preparing for the 14th National Party Congress to make it a landmark Congress, which will steer the country into an era of prosperity and sustainable development for the happy life of the people."
"For the first time, there will be the incorporation of three Congress documents, including the Political Report, the Socio-Economic Report, and the Party Building Report, into a comprehensive report called the Political Report and the Congress will also adopt an action program for the entire term,” the Party leader said.
