The agreement intends to encourage businesses and other stakeholders to take responsibility for environmental initiatives and models of circular economy and waste recycling and reuse. It specifically encourages a closed loop of packaging management, from design and production using environment-friendly materials to packaging collection, recycling, and reuse.   

Nestlé Vietnam CEO Binu Jacob said climate change response is a priority of Nestlé’s environment campaign. The group aims to switch completely to recyclable and reusable product containers by 2025 when it will have reduced its plastic use by one-third.
