Vietnam named among world’s top 20 FDI destinations for the first time

(VOVWORLD) -  Vietnam for the first time was named among the world’s top 20 FDI attraction countries in 2021, according to the World Investment Report 2021 of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

International newspapers and websites have shared the view that foreign investment attraction was a highlight of Vietnam's economy in 2021, attributed to its stable macro-economy and the effectiveness of its investment attraction policies. These factors have made Vietnam one of the world’s leading investment destinations.

Dr. Oliver Massmann of Duane Morris LLP, one of the 100 largest law firms in the world, said Vietnam is the friendliest investment destination in Asia. 

Seeking Alpha, an in-depth financial market analyst, said the Vietnamese stock market had a successful year. With a 35% gain in 2021, the VN-Index ranked among the 10 best performing markets globally. The investment market in Vietnam is steady, supported by shifts of supply chains and strong domestic production.
