Compared to the latest review in 2019, Vietnam leaped 25 spots, ranking seventh in Asia-Pacific and fourth in Southeast Asia, behind Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Vietnam earned an overall score of 94.59 out of 100, with improvements being recorded.

According to the Authority of Information Security at the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), this is attributed to the efforts made by relevant agencies in for the four-layer model for information security, along with the building of a legal corridor on cybersecurity.
