The system enables consumers to check product information transparently, while state management agencies have a basis to monitor, collect statistics, and conduct traceability when necessary. This will enhance information transparency, food safety, and the reputation of Vietnamese farm produce in domestic and global markets, according to Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang.
“Amid deep international economic integration, traceability is no longer an option but a mandatory requirement for agricultural products joining the global supply chains. The launch of the Vietnam farm produce traceability system is a concrete and practical step towards building a digital data infrastructure for agricultural products, serving state management, production, business, and consumption,” Minister Thang said.
“ It will boost the application of digital technology throughout the agricultural value chain, from production and processing to distribution, contributing to a transparent, responsible, and sustainable agriculture that meets domestic and global standards,” he added.
