Vietnam, Laos reinforce special solidarity

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam will do its utmost to preserve and nurture the special solidarity with Laos, said Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at a reception for Head of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Training, Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune in Hanoi on Tuesday.

 Mr. Trong called for closer cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to resolve urgent issues facing the renovation process in each country, especially Party building, socio-economic development and international integration.

Mr. Khaykhamphithoune, who is also Secretary of the Lao Party Central Committee and President of the Lao National Council for Social Sciences, hailed growing relations between the 2 countries in all fields.

The Lao guest is in Hanoi for the 5th theoretical workshop themed “Rapid, sustainable development”.
