Mr. Phuc on Monday received new Lao Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang. He said Vietnam and Laos are implementing many multi-faceted cooperative projects, and asked ambassador Houngboungnuang to work with Vietnamese agencies to promote governmental and interpersonal exchange at all levels.

Ambassador Houngboungnuang said he would do his best to deepen Vietnam-Laos cooperative ties. He expressed his belief that Vietnam will do well as the ASEAN Chair in 2020 and as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council from 2020 to 2021.
