(VOVworld) – Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received and held talks with a senior Lao delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavat in Hanoi on Tuesday.
The Vietnamese leaders said that Vietnam and Laos will continue to cherish their special relationship and cooperation in all areas, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world. They briefed the Laotian officials on the situation in Vietnam and preparations for the upcoming 12th National Party Congress. They also called for close coordination to implement agreements reached between the two countries’ leaders and to make thorough preparations for the 38th session of the Vietnam-Laos intergovernmental committee.
The Laotian Deputy Prime Minister said Laos will do what it can to bolster its traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam.
