(VOVworld)-The outgoing Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Fukada Hiroshi, has been honoured by the Vietnamese government with the insignia For Peace and Friendship Among Nations.

The President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Vu Xuan Hong, presented the award to Mr Hiroshi on Thursday in recognition of  his dedicated service to promoting cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Japan. During his tenure, Ambassador Hiroshi has actively supported the activities of the VUFO and the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association among other civil society organizations, which have contributed greatly to the ties of friendship between the two nations. The outgoing diplomat affirmed that  bilateral relations have developed well and vowed to return to Vietnam and continue to advance friendship ties between the nations in the future.
