(VOVworld) – On Wednesday President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung sent congratulatory messages to Indonesian President Joko Widodo on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties. Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also sent messages of congratulations to their Indonesian counterparts. The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Indonesia Friendship Association held a ceremony to mark the event in Hanoi on Wednesday. President of the Vietnam-Indonesia Friendship Association and President of the Voice of Vietnam Nguyen Dang Tien said: “The two countries’ friendship associations should continue to nurture the diplomatic ideology initiated by President Ho Chi Minh and President Sukarno.”
Indonesia is Vietnam’s 4th largest economic partner in ASEAN and one of Vietnam’s biggest investors.
