Deputy Health Minister Tran Van Thuan urged Dong Thap to enforce social distancing in quarantine areas to avoid cross-contamination, continue monitoring people after they leave quarantine, help prevent people from entering Vietnam illegally, and provide any facilities required for epidemic prevention and control.

Mr. Doan Tan Buu, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap provincial People's Committee, said Dong Thap will strengthen community control, ensure safety in quarantine areas, and strengthen support for security forces on duty in border areas. He said: 'Relevant forces have strengthened border control. We have maintained close coordination between the Border Guard and local police, military, and militias.'
