(VNA) - The 21st World Military Taekwondo Championship is on-going in Ho Chi Minh City with 214 athletes from 31 countries and territories participating. They come from countries with strong Taekwondo movements such as Brazil, Colombia, France, Italy, South Korea, and Canada. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Defense Minister, General Phung Quang Thanh said the Championship is an opportunity for athletes to improve their profession to grab higher achievements and strengthen unity among countries. International guests also learn more about Vietnam’s land and people, history, culture, and the Vietnamese People’s Army.
