This is also Tien Linh’s first Vietnam Golden Ball. The annual awards ceremony was held by Liberated Saigon Newspaper on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh City. Nguyen Thinh Phat from Thai Son Nam FC received the Golden Ball for Futsal, while Bui Vi Hao from Becamex Binh Duong FC was named Best Young Male Player.

Despite his stellar performance at the AFF Cup, striker Nguyen Xuon Son (Rafaelson) from Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC was named Best Foreign Player, as he competed without an official Vietnamese citizenship for most of 2024.

There were a total of 12 award categories this year. Winners were selected by a jury of sports journalists, coaches, team captains, industry leaders, and experts.
