Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs To Anh Dung handed over the aid, which includes respirators, cleanroom suits, gloves, and face masks worth 500,000 USD, to Chinese Ambassador Xiong Bo.

Mr. Dung said Vietnam is taking drastic measures to contain the epidemic and protect people’s health, and as ASEAN Chair in 2020, is working and sharing information, experience and research findings with the World Health Organisation, and pushing ASEAN to help China and other nations fight the epidemic.

Ambassador Xiong Bo thanked Vietnamese leaders for their expressions of sympathy, the Vietnam Red Cross Society for raising donations, and Vietnam’s northern border provinces for helping Chinese localities contain nCoV.

He said the medical equipment and supplies will go straight to Wuhan city.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Red Cross Society also donated medical supplies worth 100,000 USD to China.
