(VOV) - Vietnam wants to strengthen cooperation with Mozambique to benefit both sides, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung told Mozambique Minister of Interior Alberto Ricardo Mondlane in Hanoi on Tuesday. Prime Minister Dung said the two countries should increase cooperation in economics, trade and investment, as well as in rubber plantation, health care, education and training. He appreciated the results of an earlier working session between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Mozambique Ministry of Interior, saying the government of Vietnam supports cooperation between the two ministries, especially in combating crime and protecting their citizens. He proposed Vietnam and Mozambique work closely together at multilateral forums to address global issues. Mondlane confirmed that Mozambique attaches great importance to all-round cooperation with Vietnam. He thanked Vietnam for having sent its officials and experts to help Mozambique develop agriculture, telecommunications and industry over the years. He noted with satisfaction the fine crime fight cooperation between the two countries, saying many of Mozambique police officers are studying in Vietnam.
