According to Tran Quang Bao, Vice President of the Vietnam Administration of Forestry, 6,000 ha of land in Quang Nam and Kon Tum have been planted with Ngoc Linh ginseng, which is indigenous to these two provinces.

Vietnam aims to increase the total area of ginseng to 200,000 ha in several northern and central provinces by 2030 and assign specific regions to produce ingredients to be used for ginseng production.

Vietnam’s Ngoc Linh ginseng is an especially rare type of root that has never been found in any other part of the world. The benefits of this root include strengthening the body's immune system and strengthening the organs of people who have asthenia or low blood pressure.
