Vietnam delegation to the UN introduces Tet cuisine to international friends

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the United Nations on Wednesday organized an event in New York to introduce traditional Vietnamese Tet cuisine on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon.

The event also welcomes the UN Resolution recognizing Lunar New Year as a United Nations holiday.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN highlighted the significance of Lunar New Year for Vietnamese and Asian people. He expressed his wish that in the new year, United Nations member countries, especially ASEAN countries would continue to strengthen cooperation to build a world of peace, stability and sustainable development.

On this occasion, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang invited Ambassadors and Charge d'Affaires to enjoy traditional Vietnamese dishes.
