The meeting said the Vietnamese Party and State have adopted policies to assist people with disabilities. The Law on Vietnamese Persons with Disabilities has been implemented since 2010. 4 years ago, the National Assembly approved Vietnam’s participation in the International Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.   Dang Huynh Mai, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Union of Persons with Disabilities, pledged further efforts to improve the quality of life of members. She said:“We should create favorable conditions for the disabled to be connected and participate in social activities. Outstanding persons with disabilities should be rewarded. Disabled people are capable and can be developed to be more confident to make their lives better.”
