(VOVworld) – The fifth Free Trade Agreement negotiation round between Vietnam and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan ended Friday in Almatu city, Kazakhstan. Dang Hoang Hai, Head of the European Market Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and head of Vietnam’s negotiation delegation, told VOV: "We are glad that our partners have become more flexible and active during the negotiation session. We have completed negotiations on e-commerce and made progress on many other issues. In my opinion, the two sides’ flexibility could bring better negotiation results, raising hopes that it will conclude as scheduled by the end of this year".
The agreement is expected to be signed by early next year after 8 negotiating sessions have been completed. It will create greater opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to penetrate the Customs Union with more preferential conditions.
