Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day is launched in Hanoi

The event aims to honor Vietnamese cultural values and introduce the North-central region’s potential for tourism development.

The 7th Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day was launched in Hanoi on Monday. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Khanh Hai said the Day’s theme was Tourism Culture Week on the North-central region’s Heritages.  He added the event aims to honor Vietnamese cultural values and introduce the region’s potential for tourism development. The highlight of the event include a festival on Son Dong craft village, a lullaby singing contest, a costume show for elderly people and an art performance depicting the cultural beauty of some central provinces including Hue, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Nghe An and Ha Tinh. The festivities will close on Wednesday with the Culture Day of Hue.
