(VOVworld) – The Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement opened in Margarita island, Venezuela, on Thursday for ministers, deputy ministers, ambassadors, and representatives from 120 member states and 80 observer countries and organizations.

Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc and Ambassador and Head of Vietnam's Representative Delegation to the UN, Nguyen Phuong Nga at the meeting.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc, who led the Vietnamese delegation to the meeting, said the Non-Aligned Movement has contributed to the struggles for peace, independence, and the sovereignty of its members.
He urged the Movement to stay united to better deal with current security challenges.
He said ASEAN countries have worked to ensure peace, stability, and development in Southeast Asia and resolve East Sea disputes through peaceful means in line with international law.
