(VOVworld)- Vietnamese athletes won two bronze medals at the 17th Asian Games (ASIAD 17) in Incheon, the Republic of Korea on Friday. Swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won her second bronze medal at ASIAD 17 just after Japan’s Sayaka Akase and China’s Jie Chen. Her first bronze medal was secured in the women’s 400m individual medley. The same day, shooter Nguyen Thi Thu Hang bagged a bronze in the women’s individual 10m running target event.

Vietnamese male shooters won a bronze medal in the 10m moving target event at the 2014 Asian Games (ASIAD 17) on September 27. The male team, including Tran Hoang Vu, Ngo Huu Vuong and Do Duc Hung, earned a total of 1123 points. China and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) came first and second places with 1139 and 1137 points, respectively.

With 1 gold, 6 silver and 19 bronze medals, Vietnam is now placed 13th overall in the Asian Games’ ranking.
