Vietnam continues promoting multilateral diplomacy until 2030

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a conference in Hanoi on Thursday to review the implementation of Decree 25 of the Party Secretariat on strengthening and promoting multilateral diplomacy until 2030.

Participants discussed the implementation of the decree over the past 5 years and various solutions to create drastic changes in multilateral diplomacy.

In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang said diplomacy continued to be the highlight of national development over the past several years. He urged for more effective implementation of Decree 25. 

“It’s important to create changes in rigid mindsets and actions by focusing on forecasting to improve multilateral diplomacy and promote Vietnam’s status in the international arena in alignment with national priorities, resources and interests,” said Mr. Quang

Mr. Quang stressed the need to focus more on quality human resource training, on strengthening communications, and ensuring there are sufficient financial resources for multilateral diplomacy in the coming time.
