At their meeting in Hanoi on Monday, President To Lam applauded the positive development of traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.

He said the two sides still have much potential to ramp up cooperation and expressed his belief that through existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms, the partnership between Vietnam and Russia will flourish. 

Ambassador Bezdetko said he wishes to promote relations between the two countries in many fields, including economics, trade, defense, security, education and training, science and technology, tourism, and people-to-people exchange.
