Vietnam confirms 805 new COVID-19 cases early Thursday

(VOVWORLD) - Additional 805 COVID-19 infections were reported from 6pm on Wednesday to 6am on Thursday, including four imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

Among locally-transmitted cases, 603 were found in Ho Chi Minh City, the current biggest hotspot.

Dong Nai reported 72 new cases, Dong Thap 36, Phu Yen 18, Khanh Hoa 18, Ba Ria-Vung Tau 17, Hanoi 11, Hung Yen 10, An Giang 8, Ninh Thuan 7, and Dak Nong 1.

As of 6am on Thursday, Vietnam had 38,239 infections, including 36,280 domestically-transmitted cases and 1,959 imported ones.

The number of recovered patients was 9,624, while death toll was 138.

Nearly 4.15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered nationwide so far, with 286,772 people receiving the full two doses.
