Two out of the three foreign patients are British citizens who are thought to have contracted the virus during their stay in Vietnam. Both UK citizens on March 14 visited and met friends at Buddha Bar in Ho Chi Minh City – a hotspot where more than 10 COVID-19 visitors, mostly foreigners, had been detected.

Vietnam has so far had a total of 85 patients fully recovering and receiving discharge from hospital.
