At the ASEAN Senior Officials' Meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on Wednesday, Mr. Ho, who is acting head of SOM Vietnam, proposed a number of initiatives and orientations to raise the level of ASEAN-RoK dialogue relations coordinated by Vietnam.
At the first in-person SOM meeting after more than a year of COVID hiatus, participants discussed the focus and priorities of ASEAN 2022 cooperation with the theme "ASEAN join hands to respond to challenges", and efforts to respond to and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
They also examined the building of ASEAN Community and ASEAN Vision after 2025 and implementation of the outcomes of the 38th and 39th ASEAN Summits held in Brunei in November 2021.
