Vietnam, China work to elevate ties ​

(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Tuesday asked the commissions for external relations of the Communist Parties of Vietnam and China to maintain close coordination, make the best use of the annual meeting mechanism between their heads, and promote cooperation between the two parties' advisory bodies.

Mr. Trong was speaking at a reception for Liu Jianchao, head of the International Liaison Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Mr. Liu said that the International Liaison Commission will continue to closely coordinate with its Vietnamese counterpart and Vietnam's foreign affairs and diplomatic agencies to comprehend and implement mutual awareness and important agreements between leaders of the two countries.

During talks the same day, the Chinese guest and head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Le Hoai Trung discussed directions for exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties and countries in the coming time. 

At the end of the talks, Mr. Trung presented the Chinese guest the book “Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam” by Party General Secretary Trong.
