At a debate of the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday, Minister Counsellor Nguyen Phuong Tra, Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, expressed her concern over the lack of progress in Yemen’s security situation in 2021. She urged stakeholders to halt all military activities and cooperate with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary‑General for Yemen.

Tra said she hopes UN-led comprehensive political solutions for Yemen are within reach in the near future, and said Vietnam consistently supports peace and stability in Yemen.
