The 165 million USD center integrates the functions of a distribution centre and an inland container depot. It has a designed customs clearance capacity of 530,000 TEUs per year. Its first phase is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2022 and Phase 2 in the fourth quarter of 2024. This will be one of the largest logistics hubs in northern Vietnam, linking industrial zones by road and rail, as well as connecting to Hanoi, Hai Phong International Airport, and China’s Yunnan province. The center is expected to lead to a breakthrough in logistics, with the goal of cutting the cost of logistics to 16-20 percent of GDP.
