Vietnam attends regular meeting of IAEA Board of Governors

(VOVWORLD) - Ambassador Nguyen Trung Kien, Governor - Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has highlighted Vietnam’s major policies of support for the IAEA’s three pillars of ensuring nuclear security and safety and its atomic energy application for peaceful purposes and sustainable development.

At a regular meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors from Monday to Friday, Ambassador Kien actively joined discussions on major issues in the meeting’s agenda as well as IAEA’s action plans next year.

Kien said Vietnam shares its great concern about the complicated security situation and highlights the principles of dialogues and resolving conflicts through peaceful means based on the UN Charter and international laws.
