Participants are more than 10,000 delegates from over 118 countries, 250 international speakers and a youth program involving 18,000 young people.
Vietnam takes part in the four-day forum as a major nuclear partner of Russia. Dr. Tran Chi Thanh, Director of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute, said that the event creates an opportunity for Vietnam to learn about the capacity of Russia and other countries in developing the nuclear industry, meet partners, and seek cooperation opportunities.
Dr. Thanh called Russia a very important partner of Vietnam and said he hopes that the two sides will reach an agreement on cooperation in short term training and then long term training to ensure that Vietnam has a highly qualified human resource when it begins to deploy this future industry.
