The Vietnamese delegation was led by Nguyen Duc Hai, Director of the Institute for Defense Strategy.

Addressing the event, Lieutenant General Hai stressed that growing non-traditional challenges like cyber-attacks have affected not just the economy, but all fields. Countries should seek cooperative solutions, as those challenges cannot be solved by a single nation.

Issues discussed at the forum included protection of interests and prevention of conflicts, terrorism and counter-terrorism, management of marine security, and security cooperation.
