(VOVworld) - A Vietnamese high-ranking delegation led by Senior Lieutenant-General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, left Vietnam for Myanmar on Monday to attend the 11th ASEAN Chiefs of Defense Forces Informal Meeting (ACDFIM 11). ASEAN leaders and army chiefs will discuss ways to improve trust and coordination among member countries’ armies and share experiences in dealing with common security threats, especially the non-traditional ones facing ASEAN countries. They agreed that it will contribute to the foundation of an ASEAN Community of peace and prosperity by 2015.
