( VOVworld ) - Vietnam wants to strengthen relations with African countries, including Angola.

Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan made the statement during talks with her visiting Angolan counterpart Fernando Dias dos Santos in Hanoi on Wednesday. The two sides agreed to  maintain cooperation in key areas, which should then be expanded to construction, mining, and telecommunications. They were also committed to speeding up the implementation of signed agreements and boosting negotiations of new deals to create a legal framework for the development of bilateral relations. After the talks, the Vice Presidents witnessed the signing of a protocol on educational and cultural cooperation.
