PM Chinh called on the two countries to swiftly and effectively put in place reached agreements and commitments, and promptly finalize an action plan implementing the Strategic Partnership framework, especially in investment, oil and gas production and refining, and trade promotion, as well as defense, renewable energy, science and technology, and digital transformation. He also suggested the cultivation of Vietnamese crops in Algeria.

The Vietnamese leader expressed concern over the Middle East conflict and its serious impact on the global economy, including Vietnam. He called on Algeria to help Vietnam ensure energy security through the supply of crude oil and natural gas amid supply disruptions, and to coordinate with Vietnam to effectively materialize cooperation agreements between Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) and Algeria’s national oil company Sonatrach.

PM Ghrieb affirmed that Algeria will step up support for Vietnam’s energy security. He expressed his determination to build on the positive outcomes in bilateral relations, particularly in investment, trade, agriculture, energy and culture.
