Vietnam, who was held to an away goalless draw by the Indonesians in Senayan city last Friday, scored an opening goal just in the 3rd minute of the match. The early goal excited the stadium packed with red-shirted Vietnam fans. President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue also came to cheer the national team.

At the beginning of the second half, team Vietnam scored another goal by Tien Linh in the 47th minute. The 2-0 result was maintained until the end of the match. Tien Linh’s double sent Vietnam into the final with an aggregate 2-0 victory against Indonesia.

Park Hang-seo’s side will play the final match against the winner of another semifinal between hosts Thailand and Malaysia Tuesday evening at Thammasat Stadium, Rangsit city.
