(VOVworld) - Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan met 85 winners of 2013 Golden Sphere award on Monday in Hanoi.

The award was launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union ten years ago. Ms. Doan spoke highly of the great contributions of young scientists. Much of the work by those honorees has been applied in 40 countries. Ms. Doan said it is necessary to expand the award so that more young people can take part in: "The State has a strategy to develop the national human resources who have been fully granted facilities to develop their talents. One of 3 major breakthroughs set out by the National Party Congress has been the development of high quality human resources focused on young people, the country’s major force. The award receivers need to be encouraged".
