(VOVworld) – Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan visited Kien Giang province on Monday to examine the campaign of developing new rural areas. She had a fieldtrip to Tan Hiep A commune, Tan Hiep district, one of the first two communes to have fulfilled all 19 of the new rural criteria.

Ms. Doan appreciated the commune’s efforts at fully implementing the Party’s resolution at the grassroots level, promoting all economic sectors, and applying science and technology to production to increase productivity. She urged the commune to pay more attention to vocational training for young people and increase investment in agricultural production, rural affairs, and social security.
