Meeting with Eric Adams, mayor of New York City in New York on Monday, the Vice President called on New York City to support businesses of the US and New York to invest in Vietnam, while create conditions for the Vietnamese community in New York to grow stronger, contributing to the development of the city as well as Vietnam-US relations.
Xuan expected that New York City and Ho Chi Minh City would effectively implement their signed cooperation agreement, including enhancing exchanges and connecting people and businesses of both sides. She asked New York City to share experiences and assist Ho Chi Minh City to develop an international financial center. She affirmed that Vietnamese ministries and agencies are ready to support New York City’s cooperation with Vietnamese localities in the areas of their interest.

Adams said New York City wishes to continue promoting good cooperative relationships with Vietnam, especially implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed in September 2023 between Ho Chi Minh City and New York City.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan is in New York City for the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
